Eén ('One') is the first channel of public broadcaster VRT and Flanders' most watched TV channel. "De bedenkers" was a popular TV show that discovered and developed new creative and innovative ideas and products for daily life. Several products can nowadays be found in Flanders' shops. A second season starts later this autumn.

Eyetronics

Eyetronics is expert in 3D scanning and modelling and is mainly active in the entertainment industry: visual effects for motion pictures, computer games, commercials, music videos, etc. In Nov 2001, the company started a wholly owned subsidiary close to Hollywood in California and end 2007 it opened a subsidiary in Montreal, Canada.

Solar Team

The Umicore Solar Team consists of 14 students from the GROUP T university college Leuven. They dedicate two years to build a solar powered vehicle. In October 2007 the team participated in the World Solar Challenge, a 3000 km race from north to south Australia, and finished second. In july 2008 a new team was put together to build the next Umicar and win the WSC to become the world champion in solarcar racing
