Vlaanderen in Actie

The Flanders in Action project (ViA) has been set up by the Flemish Government as an inclusive, interactive process for all of society. The central goal of ViA is to position Flanders as one of Europe’s five top regions by 2020. Flanders is now ranked 27th of the 125 European regions on the basis of its Gross Regional Product. ViA must break new grounds in terms of both vision and strategy. By placing even greater central focus on talent, innovation, internationalisation, logistics and mobility in a powerful policy plan for 2020, the region must be able to position itself in the European top 5. This policy plan will also concentrate on sustainability and an efficient and customer-oriented government.
